Budget

In order to be as professional as possible in producing this project, I need to be as realistic as I can which means creating a detailed budget plan which will help me to oversee my expenditures throughout this project. To create my budget plan, I have researched everything that I will need to make this project possible from hiring industry standard equipment to crew and cast to catering and distribution. I think that creating a budget plan is extremely important because not only do it help you control your expenditures, but it also allows you to understand how much it really costs making a film or project in real life, away from university loans.

As a student of Coventry University, I am fortunate enough to have access to the media loan shop which will help to cut down my production cost dramatically. Roles such as DOP and Editor I can undertake myself saving myself nearly £1400. I also have a good bunch of colleagues and peers who will be happy to help me out with my project without the high end costs as long as I help them out too. As the cost of most my equipment and crew is already covered, here is my new budget;

Participants (10-15) - £150-200

Acrylic Paint - £15

Oil - £1

Oat Milk - £2

Bleach - £1

Washing Up liquid - £1

Glitter - £1

Catering - £40

Total = £346

I feel like £396 is a more realistic figure for myself as it would have been very difficult for me to raise £3490 for this project. In order to fund the £346, I am utilising my part time job and trying to work enough shifts in order to raise enough money and proceed. Hopefully, it should only take me 5-6 shifts to put aside money for this project and put it into my savings account to ensure I don’t end up using it on anything else!

Production Schedule

Throughout the course of this project, it is vital that I am keeping on top of my tasks to make sure I am not falling behind and losing time as I only have up until May 2017 to finish the project. I have aimed to list out all the important stages of the project, enabling me to know where I am currently and what stages I have coming up next to undertake. I have also given myself a timeframe, ensuring that I get each stage of project finished on time. Having taking an events management course with CMI accreditation, has shown me the importance of following a schedule plan in order to maintain a successful project.

Consent Forms

Whilst out on shoot, I will ensure that each participant will fill out a legal consent form for the safety of myself, the university and the participant themselves. Once the Coventry University consent form is signed and dated, will give me the legal authority to use the presence of each of my participants within my project.

Ethics Form

My ethics form shows that my project does not intend to harm anyone physically, mentally or politically in any way and that I will be following legal rules and regulations.

Risk Assessment

For this project, it is vital to carry out and conduct a risk assessment to help reduce the possibility of a risk from occurring. It enables me to identify potential risks that could happen, it's probability level and actions I can take to help minimise the chances of the risk from developing.
